So, the sun finally decided to pop out from behind the clouds! I thought it would never come, but i feel so much brighter now that it has. I love to travel light wherever i go when the weather heats up, so lets take a closer look inside my Summer bag to see what essentials i can't live without.......
The bag i carry in the Summer months when i'm out for a day of fun & frolics around the shops, having coffee with friends or a lunch date is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Pochette Accessoires. She is a classy little number that can hold more than you think. She is great for all weathers as she has a coated canvas outer. As you can see, i have removed the short strap that comes with the Pochette, in favour of a long gold chain. This is so that when i am rummaging through the rails or in a busy city centre i can wear her cross body.
The next thing i grab is my Louis Vuitton Monogram Key Pouch or Cles as its more affectionately known by LV lovers. Although i do use the key chain to hold my rather bulky car key, this stays permanently outside of the pouch itself. The way i use the interior of the pouch is by storing some bank notes, my payment card & my coffee card. This was my very first piece of Louis Vuitton & is such a versatile little item. I would recommend this to anyone as a LV starter piece.
So if we are lucky enough to be blessed with blinding sunshine then the Ray-Ban New Wayfarer sunglasses make an appearance. I hate driving with the sun in my eyes so they are an essential. I find that they go with almost anything & are so comfortable to wear. If i'm not wearing these then i would be wearing my Ray-Ban Aviators. They come with a very well made case which is lined with a suede like material & nose rest so that your sunglasses are well protected. I am lusting after the Clubmasters at the moment as i think they are another classic Ray-Ban style.
Being the 21st Century i of course have a mobile phone. I am an Apple lover, so my phone of the moment is the iPhone 6 64gig in Gold. I find the OS a breeze to use & love that i can just pop online & check if that bargain i've spotted on the high street is really as good as it seems. I use it for all social media, vlogs for my YouTube channel & for reading all of my fellow bloggers blogs on the Bloglovin app before i go to sleep. Try saying that last sentence fast!
Now although i would put on my makeup before leaving the house, lets not forget that it's Summer. I don't need a whole bag of makeup with me throughout the day, but a few essentials are key to ensure i stay looking as good as i did when i stepped out of the front door. Being an oily T-Zone kinda gal, i need a powder to keep shine at bay. I have been a lover of Mac Mineralise Skin Finish Natural for years now, but sadly i recently ran out. If you read my very first post just 8 short weeks ago you will of seen my excitement about cracking open my new Chanel Les Beiges. Well she made it! Look how gorgeous the compact is, isn't it lovely. I fell in love with the product within as soon as the M.U.A put it on my face. When it's hot & i start to look shiny, this gorgeous finely milled powder mattes everything back down & makes my skin flawless once again. The good sized mirror inside the compact is perfect for both powder & lippy touch ups.
Speaking of lippy, my Summer lip product of choice is the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. With just a hint of colour & a little gloss, i find these little beauties so flattering on the lips. Mine is a mini that i got in a Christmas set so is super handbag friendly too. I'm having a bit of a thing with minis at the moment & may well do a blog post all about them.
SO, that is everything i need for a Summers day out & about. I'd love to know what handbag you use during the Summer months & also what items you consider as essential to take out with you. Let me know in the comments below & of course, if you have blogged about it then hook me up with a link. WIMB posts are my absolute FAVE!
